Lágrimas de Sangre - Silver Fist

A while back, the Village Voice had an article called "Hasta la Muerte", talking about the emergence of a Spanish-language heavy metal culture that plays old-school 80's thrash. These bands are staying true to their roots - not abandoning "la raza" to sing in English and (the theory goes for some) earn a bigger paycheck.

Some readers may know I play drums in a heavy metal band myself, and am an amateur historian of all things thrash. Now, I'm sure everyone has already heard lots of BRUJERIA, so I would like to present another terrific band, SILVER FIST.

This song is the title track from their fantastic 2006 release, Lágrimas de Sangre.

WOW!!!!!!! These guys are incredible! Takes me back to CBGB days...I LOVE 80s rock! Now if only I could understand everything they're saying...yes, I know it's in Spanish but, true to form, impossible to decipher, lol! Gracias, C!
