Say goodbye to men with thick and hairy eyebrows, bear chests, and hangnails, and hello to the new hombre!

Can he be mucho macho if he uses crema on his cuticles?

Marketing for beauty care and grooming products has taken a spin with the growing population of metrosexuals. The U.S. male grooming market was worth an estimated $2.4 billion in 2002, imagine what it's worth now. When did men begin to put so much effort into... looking beautiful?  Judging by images on CD covers and websites, and a glance around the guys in the subway, many hermanos have signed on for neater eyebrows and discreet manicures.

British journalist Mark Simpson noticed that the "mirror men" were coming out in 1994 when he wrote his article "Here Come the Mirror Men" in a British daily. In this article, he coined the term, "metrosexual" as a man who is narcissistic, "under the spell of consumerism," and uses products typical of feminine beauty care (Metrosexual: Wikipedia).

Being a metrosexual does not define a man's sexual orientation.  It just means that a man likes to pamper himself and look good.  What's the harm in that?

Blog us your opinion... and, chicos y chicas, let's be honest!
