Image Steven, Mark, and Diana return to Sugar Land with Olympic metals

UPDATED:

What were the odds that four siblings (three top-tier competitors and the fourth their coach), all medalists (gold, silver, bronze) would compete in the same sport (Taekwondo) in the year, and in the same U.S. Olympic team? Very slim. The Lopez siblings from Sugar Land, Texas:  Steven, Mark, Diana (joined by their coach and brother Jean) were the first trio of siblings to compete in the same American Olympic team in over 100 years.

Not only that, but this year they each took home a medal: a bronze in the welterweight division for Steven (29), a silver medal in the men’s featherweight division for Mark (26), and a bronze in the women’s featherweight division for sister Diana (24).
