Founded in 1991, Teatro de la Luna caters to the DC area’s growing
Latino population, and is celebrating it’s 11th Annual Teatro de la
Luna Festival. With works from playwrights with raices in Argentina,
the Dominican Republic, Spain, Uruguay, Venezuela, Paraguay, and Peru,
this festival aims to capture the diversity of the Latino population
and experience. The mission of Teatro de la Luna is to promote Latino
culture and foster cross-cultural understanding between the Spanish-
and English-speaking communities. Performances are in Spanish, with
English subtitles or live English dubbing.
